Our special machines enable us to lay utility lines at a depth of up to 10 metres in the ocean floor. This allows us to guarantee the safety of the lines in areas close to the shore that are hazardous such as navigation channels and tidal inlets. The construction of our machines allows work to be carried out in water up to 8 metres deep during the laying operation. This laying technique has the least impact on the ecology of sensitive coastal areas and has been approved and even prescribed by several National Park Authorities as an environmentally compatible laying method.

When the routes to be laid are very long and the lines very heavy, the lines must be laid along the route first. In this case, we spool the utility lines onto our pontoons, lay the line along the planned route using GPS and then place the lines under the ocean floor by means of a trencher.

When routes are shorter or the lines are lighter in weight, the utility line can be unreeled from our cable and utility line transporter directly ahead of the trencher.
